Psychologist
Bruce Bradfield is a clinical psychologist who hails from South Africa. His native language is English. He is both a professor and clinician, and practices using a variety of methods including ACT and Mentalisation based therapy. He sees children and adults.
I am a clinical psychologist offering psychotherapy for children, adult individuals, couples and families. My first language is English. My approach to therapy emphasizes the primary role of the therapeutic relationship in the process of growth and development. I offer short-term solution-focused therapy, and long-term psychotherapy that is grounded in psychodynamic principles. I incorporate elements of Acceptance & Commitment Therapy for individuals, and Mentalisation Based Therapy for couples and families in my therapeutic approach.
Beyond my love of working as a psychotherapist, I am involved in research and teaching. My research specialization, and the focus of my doctoral thesis, has been in the field of intergenerational trauma and attachment insecurity. This has influenced my approach to working with individuals and families in psychotherapy. I teach in the area of clinical psychology and applied psychotherapy at DIS Copenhagen.
