Pola Koba
M.Sc.
Authorised psychologist in Denmark, working with adults individually – in English and Polish.
I hold an MSc in Clinical Psychology (2021) and an MSc in Global Refugee Studies. My trainings include facilitating and running support groups, working with anxiety disorders, emotional regulation through Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) methods, and working with autistic adults.
I moved to Copenhagen in 2020, and like many of my clients, I know what it means to build a life somewhere new: navigating the unfamiliar, missing home, and finding your footing between two worlds. This personal experience shapes how I work, and it led me to found Expats Mind Care Club in 2023 – a mental health community for internationals offering support groups, workshops, and social events.
My approach draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and body-oriented work – including mindfulness and exploring how emotions show up in the body. I am also currently deepening my knowledge of schema therapy. I am interested in the whole person: not just thoughts and behaviours, but also the deeper patterns and physical experiences that shape how we feel and relate to the world.
I have a particular interest in working with neurodivergent adults – with ADHD or autism – and in the ways neurodivergence intersects with anxiety, identity, and everyday functioning. I also work with stress, life transitions, and the specific challenges that can come with living internationally.
I aim to create a space where you can bring both your difficulties and your strengths, and where we can explore together what is happening and what might help.
