Using a doctor’s referral

The Danish public health system has a procedure whereby many people can obtain inexpensive psychotherapy with a referral from their primary doctor. This scheme uses a list of approved psychologists providers from which the client must choose (you can access this list via sundhed.dk) Unfortunately, the list is immensely difficult to get on and we don’t currently know of any expat psychologists in the Copenhagen area who are on it. Thus, if you want to use public funds to pay for treatment, we are sorry to say you cannot do this with us.

For more information about how payment for therapy works in Denmark, one of our psychologists made this video: Paying for therapy in Denmark
